Pediatric Eye Exams

Our doctors are parents themselves and know what it takes to keep children comfortable and entertained. Our pediatric exams use movies and toys to keep your kids engaged while we check for conditions more common in their age group, like myopia, lazy eye, or crossed eyes. Thanks to our child-friendly office and treasure chest full of prizes, your kids can love visiting the eye doctor!

Contact Lens Exams

There are many factors to consider when selecting contact lenses, but our team can walk you through every step, from discussing style options to fitting you with a trial pair of lenses. After your initial exam and fitting, we’ll follow up and make sure that you’re comfortable with the lens style and fit — or help you find new lenses that meet all your eye care needs.

Eye Condition Management

Our doctors use the latest technology to get an in-depth look at your eye health and find eye conditions as soon as possible. Should we detect an eye disease, don’t worry: we offer a plethora of options to start managing them long before they affect your eyesight.

Macular Degeneration Management

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the deterioration of the center of the retina, which is responsible for color and central vision. To uncover the earliest signs of macular degneration and manage it with supplements before it affects your vision, we use advanced retinal imaging technology like OCT scans to painlessly get a full MRI image of your macula.

Myopia Management

Myopia, or nearsightedness, comes from the front of your eye being too long, which makes it hard to see objects that are further away. Myopia is especially common in children and can continue to progress as you age — if left untreated. We offer various myopia management options that both correct vision and prevent it from progressing, including ortho-k, MiDay, atropine eye drops, and multifocal lenses.

Glaucoma Management

Glaucoma results from abnormally high pressure within your eye (intraocular pressure, or IOP) and damages your optic nerve, which sends what you see to your brain. It’s a leading cause of vision loss, but advanced detection can keep it under control. For an accurate measure of your eye pressure and cornea strength, our doctors use the state-of-the-art ORA machine to assess your risk of glaucoma. If glaucoma is detected, we offer pressure-lowering drops to protect your eye health.

Dry Eye Treatment

Dry eye happens when you don’t have enough tears, or they evaporate too quickly because the oil-producing meibomian glands on your eyelids are infected. To relieve your dry eye symptoms, we offer everything from simple at-home solutions like warm compress routines and supplements, to TearCareÒ wearable eyelid technology to gently heat and unblock your meibomian glands.

Surgery Co-Management

If you and your doctor find you’re a great candidate for LASIK or refractive eye surgery, we’ll conduct a pre-operative evaluation and pair you with one of our trusted local surgeons to perform your procedure. After your surgery, we’ll follow up regularly to make sure that you’re comfortable, that your eyes are healing properly, and that you achieve the best vision possible.

“I always have a great experience during my annual eye exam. The staff here is so friendly and makes you feel very welcome. I have been seeing Dr Traverse for many years and although thorough explains things in layman terms. It never feels like he is rushing to get you out the door.”

- Charlotte D.

“Dr. Traverse is wonderful! Very friendly, thorough, and conscientious. Over the years I have seen most of the clinic staff change, but the Doctors are always there. It gives me peace of mind to know my doctor knows my history, and also how best to communicate with me- using “shop talk” or layman’s terms when it best meets the needs of making sure I am aware of my eye health.”
